Project Details: In this project, a field study was conducted, including 960 pen-to-paper and 1000 online surveys. This project aimed to examine the prevalence of internet addiction among youngsters aged 12-18 years. This examination allowed the project team to realize social intervention programs at middle-schools. 182 youngsters (91 females and 91 males) included in social intervention programs such as theatre, handcrafting, art, etc. for three months. After the intervention programs, the post-test was established, and according to comparison, in terms of reducing the amount of time these young people spend on social media, the results of intervention programs had a significant effect. As an outcome of this project, a book and an article were published in Turkish. The article was published in Addicta, which is one of the best indexes in Turkey.
